Welcome to Elements of Eloquence! This workshop will collaboratively review and practice the 39 figures of rhetoric as described in Mark Forsyth’s enlightening and entertaining book, “The Elements of Eloquence: Secrets of the Perfect Turn of Phrase.” As Forsyth puts it: “Now some people will tell you that great writing cannot be learnt. Such people should be hit repeatedly on the nose until they promise not to talk nonsense any more.”

BWW members may join the workshop at any point–having read earlier chapters is not a requirement.
